I hate to admit it but (all the LE types look away.)... As mature as I think I am, I'm pretty sure I will roast em as soon as I can... I just don't think I will be able to resist.

I like all the input here. I've never had a new car, myself(it's always been my wife's) so I've never paid too much attention other than easy on the brakes and engine to 500 miles and vary the engine speed, like everyone has already said. I think I'm going to use a lot of what has been posted, just in case. It will be hard to resist the temptation to drop the hammer, however, what's another couple weeks?...

Pretty much...as in to break into a vehicle or not. I was thinking more along the lines of a prepro sitting out in the parking lot and "should I break in to get better pictures, or not?"

When I got my GTO, I kept it on the highway and had to drive about 100 miles or so to get home. So, I just periodically went from 6th to 5th gear to change up the RPMs, and took a detour or two.

After that, I got the oil changed at 1,000 miles, then at 3,000, kept up the 3,000 mile cycle until 30,000, and then at 5,000 ever after. I don't know if that's proper or not, but I have used synthetic oil since the 2nd oil change and she still purrs like a kitten (55,000 miles currently).

When I get the Camaro I'll have to think about following the DICs recommendations. Does anyone know if they're reliable? I'd hate to have a failure and then have the warranty voided because I didn't get the oil changed at a normal interval.

Believe it or not, I actually submitted near that exact question to GM's FYI blogs, and I got put in a podcast!!!...check it out:

(it might take a minute to load, but it's there)
