Meaning if I romp on the throttle 4-6 times I smell a heavy gas smell like I spilt gas on myself. I can find no gas leaks, so if the car is running real rich would this be the cause?

Think my car needs a tune or something to fix these issues.
Take it to your dealer... Gas smell=dangerous..

are you romping on the gas in gear or while sitting still?

your car already runs beyond pig rich, but free reving like that can sometimes cause a fuel smell as you are sending some unburnt fuel thru the exhaust that can sneak back into the car. also check your gas cap and make sure its tight.
