then you should have titled it "why did you replace your battery" not have you replaced it.

Thanks for who ever updated the poll and added, the "NO".

I just replaced mine. Voltage was good, but the CCA was only 143 in stead of the 730 it should have been.

I went online to advanceauto and saved 20% off the $167

Once they go dead they are incredibly difficult to bring back. I'd return it if you could and get a Braille battery unless you have a huge system and need the optima.
This is why in my 1970 Buick I didn't go Optima. I bought a high CCA battery designed for automobile audio systems. I found one that matched the original size for the original battery, and it even vaguely resembles an original type battery. Fits the stock battery tray perfectly

That battery is probably on its last legs, since it was 7 years ago, but in a 10.25:1 compression V8, in an unheated garage, I would start the car once a month in the winter. Vroom. Instantly, every time

still on the original it left the factory with. pop the caps on it every now and then to make sure its not low on acid. as for the optimas the best thing is to keep them on a battery tender. I have had the one in my 1972 Camaro since December of 2000. and it still works flawlessly.

I would recommend to stop that practice. That's the worst thing you can do for a car. Cold dry starts for absolutely no reason. It doesn't help anything and it hurts everything.

Actually you need to start a car that will sit for awhile once a month or so and let it run for 30-45 mins.

Interstate batteries are among the best available out there these days. But No, haven't replaced mine in my 2011 2LT. But when I do, it will be an Interstate.

If you think so. But dry starts are the worst for an engine. Why subject it to cold dry starts for absolutely no reason?? It makes no sense.

Why do you think you need to start a car that's stored for winter once a month? Looking forward to this....
