Have you replaced your battery?
ok, as the title says.
Have you replaced your battery? Is so why? Lighter? Dead? needed more power? If you did replace it, what did you replace it with? How much?

Buy a trickle charger and keep it plugged in if the car sits for more than a day or 2. You will come back to a dead battery. Optimas are great for daily drivers and have a ton of power but don't hold it very well. I went through 3 of them with my supra before I gave up. Once they go dead they are incredibly difficult to bring back. I'd return it if you could and get a Braille battery unless you have a huge system and need the optima.

not yet, but do plan on it ............. despite the arguments against it, my faith lies heavy with optima yellow top. I plan on upgrading the stereo and adding a few screens inside thus the additional power consumption is necessary.

Original battery for me, sometimes the car sits weeks at a time.

Only battery I've ever replaced was in my Olds because the original died (1 month short of 10 years).
I just replaced it with the top rated generic store brand with a 7 year replacement warranty. Works perfect whether 100 or -10 outside. Generally, a battery is a battery. No reason to pay more than you have to just for a brand name that's advertised on TV.

I haven't had mine long enough to even worry about it (April, 2013) but I'm curious what the choices are. I would lean towards an Optima or some other sealed gel battery.

Still rocking the OEM Battery here. It hasn't ever really beenin an environment that pushed it though.

mine was three years old and still working fine but I didn't want it to die on me all of the sudden, plus I wanted a sealed/non vented battery so I bought this http://www.interstatebatteries.com/c...+Can_L4%2f2.4L) kinda pricey but 800 cca, deep cycle and long reserve.the best part is 48 month free replacement.im not on a weight loss program for the Camaro. it is 4 lbs heavier and 3/8 in. taller than the original.sorry cant get link to work but it is interstate part number MT7-34

Went to start the car one morning and the battery exploded. My Camaro was 3 1/2 years old with about 40K miles.
