Somebody already did. I've got a 4X4 for when I see more than 6" of snow on the ground, but why shouldn't I expect the ability to have all season tires available?

I thought this was the forum for crashed Camaros? Did you see that black SS? Ouch! I bought the best ice tires that I could find for 19" rims. I used to drive a V-8 thunderbird all winter & never crashed. And that thing didn't have all the technology that the Camaro has, nor the ideal weight distribution, bigger wheels (or power obviously). Regardless, I am scrambling to get the wife a new SUV so I can drive the old Exploder when its really crappy out.

I talked to Dave at Newman Chevy and he stated that on the LT/RS the RS is just an appearance package. 18" or 19" OEM's will cause no problems. This was also backed up by two other dealers.

The RS package is HID headlights with halos, special rims, darker tail lights, and I believe a rear spoiler for those cars that don't already have it. It has nothing to do with the brakes, wheel hub or any suspension components.

Doc...... I suggest you see what Hylton posted last winter. (with diagrams)

When the RS is added to the LT Apparently the car gets SS Hubs. The rear offset changes due to this.

If you dig a little deeper you will also find out the 21's for the 2LT also have a different spec wheel than the 21's that are supplied with the SS.

Dealers will be the very last source of hard information on this car.

I am not sure, but, the problem would be, are the brakes the same, if not, interference would be the concern.

Interesting. Thanks for the update on the LT cars. Didn't know that since I ordered the SS.

Offset .......................nothing to do with brakes.

Only an autocross "test " will confirm.

Has ANYONE that has an RS or an SS with factory 20's gone so far as to measure and post the demintions (offset or backspaceing) of our wheels? once we know this, we can chase down aftermarket wheels that will or should fit.

I received my set of 19's and put them on the backs. Absolutely no issues whats so ever. When I put the first one on the back right, I compared it to the 20 on the left and it is dead identical in placement. No clearance issues. The true test will be the drive later on.
