Auto with stock cam - set redline to 6400 and shift point to 6200 - note that redline and shiftpoint (for an auto) are NOT the same thing. If you dont tune the trans shift point, you can set the redline to whatever you want and the car will still shift no later than 6 or 6.1k (whatever the stock setting is - cant recall). With a top end cam installed now i bumped it to 6500 redline and shifting at 6400.

Is blower speed the reason?

I understand but why are you shifting at 5700rpms? the car will make peak hp at 6500rpms and you can still be faster by remaining in a lower gear with less hp vs a higher gear with more hp.

It's called granny shifting, not double clutching like you should.

My limiter was set to 6800 originally but due to the intake air temps getting way too hot we rolled the rpm limit back to 6400. There is some variation with pulleys but generally speaking, the blower is running more than 3 times the engine rpm. For very short bursts those rpms may be okay but sustained periods above 5700 rpm is going to generate more heat than the supercharger cooling system can possibly remove.

I just installed a custom tune from JRE. Based on my driving habits along with the fact I own a convertible that will probably never see the inside of a track, I didn't see much point going beyond the factory default.

This is a good point. The only way to really know the right shift point for your setup is a combination of dyno pulls and real world testing at the drag strip. Depending on how hard you are overspinning the blower, what cam you have, and what hx/intercooler setup you are running, more rpm may not equal faster times. No point in going a few hundred rpm higher if the result is much higher IAT2's as you pull into the next gear.

I set them all 400 rpm over stock for no cam change tunes, unless of coarse a customer has a special request
