CONGRATS on your ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wives', husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

You can buy a harness at Gen5DIY.com that will keep them on all the time day or night since they go off when your head lights come on if your headlight switch in in the Auto on position.. They still will not come on until the car is in gear.
I have a manual and they will come on with the car in neutral so long as it's day light outside.

If you want the DRL on all the time, do get the the harness from Gen5Diy. Works great and takes about 5 minutes to install. Make sure and get the led's for them also, it's a closer match to the halo's then.

Well that's weird, mine won't. Also noticed when I pulled up to glass storefronts. They go off when I take it out of gear. Makes it hard to check operation alone. Always have to have my wife or daughter come out and put it in gear for me.

I played with the lights while sitting behind a pickup truck at a stoplight and I have a better understanding of how they work now, and I think it even makes sense. The color difference between the fog lights and HIDs would look horrible.

It sounds like the LED light kit and wiring harness would get me what I want. Thanks for the info!

That is very strange Mine will only turn off when the headlights turn on. And there other manuals around me that are the same way.

If you look closely you can see that my DRLs are on in my Sig picture. I had the car neutral with Ebrake up when the picture was taken.

Hi "Mike in Vegas!" -

ON behalf of everyone at "Team Camaro" and the Oshawa Build Team - THANK YOU for choosing Camaro. We sincerely want this to be the best car you've ever owned. (...midlife crisis or not!..)

Prepare for a pretty serious case of "Perma-Grin!"

Meanwhile - you may want to consider visiting Pahrump and the Spring Mountain Motorsports Park - not very far from Las Vegas - and they have a fantastic Performance Driving School which features new Camaros and Corvettes..........
