First Camaro

Hello!

I just picked up my first Camaro, a 2013 2SS in Victory Red. This is my mid-life crisis and my wife decided a car was better than a girlfriend.

Now I just want to figure out how to get these fog lights to go on while driving. They go on when I lock/unlock. The light switch doesn't look like the one in the manual, where you push to turn on the fog lights. I wonder if they put in a no fog lamp switch into my car by accident.

Congrats and welcome to the forums Mike

EDIT: Your fog lights are DRLs, they come one while you're driving. Oh wait.... did you get the RS package?

Then they should come on if you're driving

You have the RS package because you have HID headlights and the roof ditch molding is body color. I can't tell in the pic but your SS emblems should be red and the taillights should be smoked/tinted slightly.
The RS package doesn't have "fog lights". They are DRL's since the HID headlights can't be used as DRL's. The DRL's (i.e. fog lights) should be on whenever the car is running. You can't manually control the DRL's with a switch. The only way to turn off the DRL's when driving is to choose the parking lights position on the switch. This will turn off the DRL's and turn on the halo's (but no headlights).

Nice car and Welcome to C5. If its a LS3 (Manual) the DRL's come on when the car is in gear, not just in nuetral idleing. I would guess with the L99 they would come on when in Drive. You can buy a harness at Gen5DIY.com that will keep them on all the time day or night since they go off when your head lights come on if your headlight switch in in the Auto on position.. They still will not come on until the car is in gear.

I think everyone has explained the DRL's pretty well, so I'll just welcome you!

And my wife called it my mid-life crisis also!
