How about that cam? Can it handle a SC set up? Vortech is easy to install and reversible.

If 1/4 mile is your thing you may want to consider swapping to an automatic now and saving on the above parts and future frustrations. Your car will be faster and much more reliable. In my cammed only SS I got tired of breaking things and finally sold the car. I should have bought an automatic from the start.
You have got to be kidding me right?

What rear wheel hp figures are we talking here to even consider doing all those $$$$ mods?

$1500 to upgrade axles? $2000 for a clutch upgrade? Concerned about the diff and tranny? I guess that's an other $5000 to worry about? Swap out the M6 for a slush box???

If this what it would take for the SS to handle a lousy minimum 580 rear wheel HP, with it's 6.2L, then it's by far and large the worst "out of the box" sports car in the world.

Believe it or not but you can break the axles with bolt on power with a really sticky tire and great 60'. With 450+RWHP like the OP already has its not a matter of if but when something in the drivetrain will give with a sticky tire and sub 1.7 60'. If the OP puts even more power on these stock drivetrain parts he will surely find this out. Drivetrain parts failure may never happen on a street tire with any amount of power but spinning aint winning. If the OP supercharges his current set up I think he will need a minimum 9inch, 12 bolt or ZL1 rear end and a clutch upgrade as well as the suspension book thrown at the rear end to keep from breaking parts on a M6 car with really sticky tires. This of course is a M6 car. The A6 car can handle 550RWHP before having to upgrade anything in the drivetrain or suspension.

Blower here. 82k miles on it, hard pulls here and there each month with nothing broken. Then again i have a conservative tune lol so yeah depends how much you want to put at the wheels and then go from there.

I can guarantee if your a M6 that your not doing high RPM clutch dumps from a dig on drag radials or slicks.

Don't think what I posted will happen, good luck. I found out the hard way with only 450 rwhp. Actually the $$$ numbers I posted were on the low side and do not include labor should you not be able to do the job yourself. Do yourself a favor and hop on over to the driveline section and see for yourself the member carnage on stock items once power and traction are applied

Is a clutch really $2000 for the Camaro? Even twin discs for the Gt500 are only 1100-1300

I really would love to run low 11's or may be even high 10's with tires and trap high 120's. The one thing I am concerned about is reliability. I have already invested about 7000. and the blower would run me about another 8000. As much as I would love to make the power as much as I would hate to blow the motor or start breaking shit often enough to a point where I regret ever doing it. What do you guys think?

I think that the only proven performer with a power adder is the Street Slayer clutch and it runs in the $1800.00 range. There are cheaper units out there but you get what you pay for, I found out the hard way on that. The prices are ridiculous though I agree.
