I printed this up and mounted it on my wall along with graduation and frat stuff. Scott, you are the man and you give us the hope we have in this sacred automobile.

I now understand fbodfather's greatness and why everyone is always referring to him on the boards. Respect.

Yet again the Father lends his comforting hand in a time of crisis.
Scott, did you ever think about becoming a psychologist? You're great at helping people deal with their problems. |

Then why even mention it being "premium"-priced? A few hundred dollars wouldn't even be worth bringing up. Hell, that's one little option.
I still think it's gonna be more than a "few hundred dollars". If GM is gonna sell a 400hp, independent rear suspensioned Camaro for the same amount as a Mustang, then Ford should just stop making GTs altogether and GM should pump out as many Camaros as they can make. |

That just might be the general idea.

First-Thank you Father for all the information.
Second-This car is sounding to be too good to be true. I mean, it sounds like it's leaps and bounds better than the 4th. Gen. and that it sounds like it's going to be pretty competitive, pricing wise (in the least,) just seems impossible. I'm not sure what Ford has in the works for it's next generation Mustang, but it better watch out. Hearing from Father, for me, is like a double-edged sword. Initially, I sigh in relief, and then, I'm impatient and worked-up as Heck to get one of these bad boys. Thanks a lot!

The Camaro will need to have broader appeal than just to the Camaro faithful and/or Chevy faithful or even muscle car faithful. I for one am glad it's not being titled a "Muscle Car" by GM but instead a performance car.
GM needs their new cars to be a success for more than just a year or two. This means an all around good car for multiple budgets. While many may not think so I believe the New Camaro if executed properly will go up against a lot more than just the Mustang and Challenger. It will go against the Evo, STI, 128/135i, 370z, RX8, Genesis coupe among others (V-6 and V-8). It needs to shed the Stereotype of "Mullet Mobile/Machine" (see many posts on jalopnik.com) and be a broadly wanted performance car at the top of its segment. |
