I told them to not install my front plate bracket when I purchased my 2013. He told me it was the law, and I said that I would take my chances. It looks so much better without it.

My dealer gave me the option, but I had them put mine on just to give the cops one less reason to mess with me. I don't want to draw any unwanted attention.

I'm in a two-plate state but the dealer left it in the trunk at my request. I mounted it with zip ties. They lasted almost two years---then I had a local police officer deliver my bracket and plate to my front door. It had fallen off in a parking lot, got turned in to the police station, and subsequently brought back home. I love living in a "small town" city.

The state of Iowa requires a front license plate, but when I picked up my car it wasn't installed. It was sitting in the trunk. Good thing too because I probably would have had them order a new bumper or I wouldn't have bought it.

in 13 years I have never gone with a front plate. But, we barely have enough cops to deal with actual crime so... (Knock on wood)

I told the dealer to leave mine off too. The 1LE looks great without it. If i get pulled over then the front plate is the least of my worries. I did put my second plate (wrapped in plastic) up on the dash though just in case. I was looking at the ones from eliminatorbracket.com though. Those might help protect my splitter too... We'll see.

My dealer told me that they leave them off til delivery. I got a tint ticket in September, and the cop never noticed the missing front plate. It was not for his lack of trying to find something, anything to give me a ticket for.
