Missing front license plate bracket?

I am looking over the build list for my '12 45th and I see this:
VK3 - FRONT LICENSE PLATE BRACKET
But there is no front license plate bracket...or holes where there may have once been one. Any ideas?

I believe the bracket is supplied with the vehicle and then installed by the dealer. They have to drill holes in the front bumper cover to attach. I'd be excited if I didn't have it

I had actually thought about adding one when I first got the car. It allows you to add personality to the car with vanity plates.

So far though I have not installed one.

They don't come installed from the factory because not all states require a front plate.
The bracket should have been in the trunk though when it was delivered to the dealer.

In states that require a front plate, some dealers will drill the holes and install the bracket during prep of the car.
Our dealer asked if I wanted it installed. I told him no.
He smiled and said "totally up to you", and left it in the trunk.

If you want to personalize, go with something like this http://www.eliminatorbracket.com/. Will cost a little more, but keeps your bumper in its original state with no holes.

You should be happy the dealer didn't drill into your front bumper. Why add holes if you don't need to?

When my 2011 SS was delivered to me a little over a month ago the first "mod" I did was remove the bracket. I was happy to find out the previous owner zip tied the bracket to the lower grill. Whoever the previous owner is, I'd like to shake their hand.

I'd be pissed if I had them. If I were ordering in a state that required them, I'd instruct the dealer not to drill the holes because I was bringing one of those other no drill set ups you can get. But that's just me.

I live in a state that does not require front license plates, my car came from Ohio, which does require, but i found the front license plate bracket in a bag in the trunk, when I picked up my car.

I definitely told my dealer that I didn't want a Camaro that had the front license plate bracket already installed. They granted my request.

When my dealer called and said my car was delivered, I was there in 30 minutes and
removed the front plate bracket from the trunk. Ct is a two plate state but fortunately
the law is not generally enforced. That plate totally ruins the apperance of the front
end of the 5th gen imo.

I believe as of last year (or so) that Ohio does not require front license plates.

Sent from the road.

Mine was also left in the trunk by a very knowledgable dealer.

Mine was left in my trunk by a careless and ignorant dealer. That was the one and only favor they ever did me.
