I believe it has been said that the gains from long tubes are likely due predominately to the HFCs used with them or the elimination of cats altogether. There is a thread on here where the Solo HFCs yielded something around 15hp; which is on par with the reported gains from LTs on LLTs, I believe.

Actually, if you are considering any form of forced induction, you may want to forget about doing the HFCs. Not that the SOLOs are bad quality (I believe they are good quality) there have been some V6 owners here running FI and have shown signs of their cats collapsing, which if that's gets too bad can cause serious damage to your engine.
My opinion, but I think if I were to go with forced induction, I'd either stay with stock cats, delete the cats, or go with catless headers. At least talk with SOLO about it, or start a thread in the FI section about FI with SOLO cats. There may already be a thread hidden in there somewhere as I know the topic has come up before.

Of course they don't, it is illegal for them to remove them for you. Add a set of OBX headers, do it your self and you wll be catless. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...&highlight=obx
