Horse power wise not really. Drivability wise, YES. If I did not have the factory warrenty still I would tune my car. The biggest thing you would notice is instatanious throttle response. I also bought a C.A.I. brand, induction for my car...love it. Make sure you are completely done modifing your car before you tune.

I currently have Flowmaster AT exhaust, tune, CAI, and a PTB. Its loud but not too bad (I want it louder) but the tune did make a big difference. Its just a handheld superChips tune for now. I'm adding LTH w no cats later this week and a custom HP tune in a few weeks for maximum performance. I want sound and performance is why I'm going this route.

Ive heard a muffler delete in person and was quite impressed with how it sounded. Also a buddy of mine has LTH with stock exhaust and no tune and it sounds good too. Not as loud as my Flowmasters or the muffler delete but still good.

Edited to add: I have a L99 as well and wo a tune to disable the AFM it will drone with Flowmasters. Its very noticeable on the interstate when it goes down to 4 cyclinders. The tuner I have disabled the AFM and big difference.

Yes you will notice a difference! I am far from an expert but, there should be a 40+ hp gain. The experts will correct me if I am wrong. You will be very pleased with the results.

It will feel like a new car, you'll 100% hear and feel the difference, night and day! Like I said do this then decide if you need or want more sound, then you can go exhaust.

Like the poster above said you should gain around 40 rwhp.

No catback is gonna come close the headers and high flows! Even with stock catback the car will sound meaner the any catback, not to mention the big jump in power! Don't wast your money on a catback!

Josh,

Go here to hear what some of the setups sound like...

But listen to NYRFAN, he may not know hockey but on this he is correct.

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my next
Track fix.
