Actually, it does not interfere. It is above the frame and out of the main air pathway. The air from the scoop comes from below the frame and the bottle in a direct line to the filter. The bottle is out of that pathway.

The bottle is not in the factory location where it would interfere.

If one already has a Roto-fab intake and wants to do a scoop/washer relocate can you install them without removing the air box?

Water vapor condenses against the back wall of the scoop and is drained through weep holes in the bottom rear corners. The only way I can see forcing enough water into the intake to hydro lock it would be for you to hit standing water at least as deep as the DRLs and with a bit of speed. And if you do that you are going to have plenty of other problems to worry about.

Yeah, I think you'd have to immerse your vehicle in about 2 feet of water to be a concern. The way these are designed it would seem to me to be nearly impossible for any water to make it all the way into the intake.

You would not have to remove it to install the scoop and washer tank, but depending on how you decide to mount the remote filler neck for the washer tank it might make it easier.

My bad. From your description, it appeared as though you just shortened it to allow the scoop to fit.

I got my WW/Apex scoop installed with a CAI intake. I used a lift and took my time.

I find working on my car to be almost zen like. So I'm in no hurry to get done. I enjoy the entire process.

The W/W bottle was top notch and came with plenty of hose. The scoop was made from sturdy material and the install was pretty straight forward.

And of course the CAI intake took like 15 minutes; and that's probably generous.

The growl of the engine is noticeable, and when I get on it and shift gears I can hear the intake sucking/gulping a burst of air. It's quite an amazing feeling. I really didn't expect a simple bolt on to wake my car up but it did. And the acceleration was also really noticeable.

Looking forward to LT headers in the near future!

I hate to give up my washer bottle as I use my washers a lot. So I'm going to port my stock washer bottle so the air flows around it better. I think I'll pick up at least 5 hp. ;^)

Glad that you are happy with the results.

That is why we also offer the washer tank relocation kit along with our scoop, so that there is a no sacrifices bolt on solution available.

Thank you for your order. Be sure to let us know what you think after you get it all installed.

Once I took the plunge and installed the Apex Scoop I have experienced no water in intake issues.
More importantly, I perceive a greater performance increase adding scoop to CAI than I noticed going from factory intake to CAI. The factory windshield washer reservoir takes up a lot of space in the intake and may act as a restriction

This was my concern as well, I have never had a water ingestion issue, but just to be on the safe side I ordered the Injen HydroShield from Jannetty. Just a little peace of mind.

The hydroshield is not necessary but there is nothing wrong with playing it safe.

Is it possible to install the scoop/tank without removing the wheel?
