This is by far the easiest way to do it. I've swapped sways twice, and the worst was the Pfadt ZL1 sways. I had my car on a lift and used one of those stands with the screw shaft to lift the engine a few inches.

Is there a benefit to buying ZL1 versus SS? I have a line on the sways and LCAs and hope to purchase within a week from another member.

Thanks!

Not 100% sure what parts you are asking to compare, but I'm guessing the end links? If you go new LCAs you need the ZL1 end links because of the design change. SS rears end links won't work anymore. The ZL1 front end links are beefier and use 12mm threads on both ends. The SS uses 10mm. That's why you will have to drill a larger hole in the strut for the larger threads. Some vendors made end links with 12mm threads on one end, and 10mm threads on the other. So no drilling. Of the ZL like front sways I have used, they all used a 12mm hole.

If I have to loosen the engine mounts it would be a good time to put on a PAFDT or BMR set of mounts

Thanks. Do you know which vendors did so, just in case future mods require a return to 10? If I am only streeting my ride, should I stay with the GM links to save $ and just get the ZL1 links?

I appreciate the advice and apologize to the OP for jacking the thread. I am just on the same mission at a different pace.

Thanks all,

Jason
