My wife and i have lived by this princaple for a long time now...And I will say its very difficult to wait...but its WELL worth it in the end...Just one example and I'll get off my soap box! I've wanted and H2 for years but they are WAY expensive new...so we waited and waited...and we saved and this year we started looking...with in a month or so i found an awesome deal, and since the money was in the bank we were able to snatch it up. We baught a 2006 with 15k miles on it...FULLY LOAD and mean everything for 20k less than it cost new, just 18 months ago....thats a HUGH savings! I think I almost cried when I got to finally drive it! Now i get to drive it everyday and never worry about a monthly payment...I get to spend my money on aftermarket stuff and fill the tank and not stress about it...BEST FEELING IN THE WORLD!!!!! But can i wait for the new camaro...still remains to be seen...but Im working overtime, cutting back on things we don't need and hoping I have enough for my SS/Z28 when they come out

Well....if you want that TV, you already will be getting it at a much better price than a year ago today. Our $2,200 42 inch plasma flat panel 1080p was originally $2,900. The prices are falling on these like crazy. Many new companies are popping up making flat panel LCD's and Plasmas (LCD's are now becoming more popular due to the fact that you won't get screen burn in). Actually, you won't get screen burn in on a plasm if your input wattage on the tv itself is turned down. We had ours turned down quite a bit since we would get burn in from watching something for about 10 min. THAT was crazy!
But, LCD's are becoming more popular...you can also hook up the video game to it and not worry about that burn in. Plasmas, on the other hand, are MUCH MUCH MUCH better for sports and quick screen/color changing action. Read up on the differences before buying. Plasma prices dropped more than LCD's lately. You WILL find a tv that won't cost you an arm and a leg!!! Oh, and that tv we had? It's gone down $700 more dollars since we bought it..........freakin' crazy. |

If things don't go well, I may have to sacrifice my 2001 Custom Fatboy. Put it together with a buddy. That and my girlfriend says we can sell her 76 Corvette.

The one sacrifice being made here will be the SS giving up it's space in the garage for its little brother.
And me finding a place to store it at a reasonable rate.

My current car is an '04 and is paid off. The new car bug is gnawing on me something fierce, but I'm doing everything I can to fend it off so I don't have a car note between now and when I can finally order my 5th gen.

I hear ya' on the sacrificing. At first, my thought was to just begin saving where I could, and try to keep my tax return money in the bank, but with a ten-month-old, a new (low-paying) job, and some plastic, I have to come to terms with selling my 4th Gen. I'm not happy about it because I have a lot of money and time invested in it, and have kept it as clean and good a condition as possible. I'm selling it to pay off my debt to just leave a small loan on my daily driver and crossing my fingers to promote in my new job. I hate to sell the car, but I really want the top dawg model (assuming there is going to be one) and have been planning on getting one in 2011. My wife hates that car anyways, and since the new one is going to be worlds better, I think I'll be happier with this car.

No sacrifice, My truck will be paid off in spring/summer next year. It will be traded in and the equity, about 8k now figure 7k next year, will bring anything 30k and under well into my price range for a normal 5 year finance term.

I'll be eating lots and lots of soup and ramen noodles after I graduate to cover the cost. I'll trade in my Impreza for next to nothing.
