PN for TTY bolt? Need to verify I have correct bolt PN...

Could someone with access to the GM online service manual do me favor and look up PN for hb torque-to-yield bolt? I need to verify that bolt sent with the pulley kit is the correct PN. At this point, I don't have a high confidence that correct bolt was sent. (besides wrong tq spec, I was sent wrong AC belt too... which vendor quickly fixed). Thanks in advance !

I pulled mine off, and I am 110lbs dripping wet.. I just used a 3/8 ratchet drive, and got it off...

lol..
but seriously I used a 1/2 breaker bar that is about 3 ft long with a pipe extension..
put the car in 4th, and put my 215lbs arse on it, and broke the bolt free..
when I put it on, I went 240 ft lbs., with the old bolt.. removed that bolt, and then 32 ft lbs, on new bolt.. then 240* for final torque..

Also
ATTENTION
for those of you that are having problems getting the balancer back on, especially an under drive pulley, you can go to your local dealership, and for $6 you can get you a balancer bolt, that is 1.25" longer than your stock bolt to put it on.. this helps tremendously in making sure you do not booger the first few threads on the crank.. you take a BIG chance of screwing the threads up on the crank by only getting 2-3 threads started and trying to pull the pulley on with the stock bolt.. save you some headache, and worries and order this bolt.

GM Part Number
[11570163]Pulley bolt that is 1.25 inches longer than the stock bolt.. Cost is $6

140 degrees is for the older ls engines, the LS3 and L99 engines are 230 degrees final torque,, right from gm service information!

As stated above, a long bar, car in 5th gear should do it.
Some pple warm the balancer gently with a torch.
As for reinstall, I suggest an ARP bolt. GM bolt is torque to yield and is not reusable, whilst the ARP bolt is simply torqued down (forgot which torque) and can be reused, if my memory is correct. Did that on my Vette.

Good luck. I'm a fraid, as the Vette crown will testify, removing that bolt is a major PITA in some cases.

You can also use a chain whip, and an old belt.

Wrap the belt around the pulley then take the chain whip and lock it in place around the old belt. Have someone hold that or wedge it, or figure a way to hold it.

The 1/2" break bar, with a pipe and its easy, no leaving the car in gear or anything .

Just one other method.

Regards

I was able to get mine off by using a breaker bar, and I attached the jackstand pipe to it and me and my dad pulled as hard as we can and it came loose.
