I'm thinking about painting my car with tiny black specks. Problem solved!

My car is stock ,no mods or tune job done on it.I don't have any engine service light on etc.
Maybe I should take it by the dealer, but I got a feeling they are going to tell me it's normal for those cars like the hard thumping noise in the front end is normal with those cars because of it's sports suspension as the dealer tells me.

I have noticed a lot of soot blows out on start up, I think moisture is collecting in the exhaust when the cars cools after they are shut down. The stock mufflers have a drain hole in them, I was thinking about drilling it out a little bit bigger... Might help who knows?

I get a small amount of "soot" or "carbon" on the exhaust tips. Almost looks like it is from the water vapors that leak out while driving collecting the carbon from inside the muffler and leaving a stain. I take a paper towel and it wipes right off. Call me crazy but thats the first thing I do after parking get out open trunk grab paper towel and wipe it off close trunk go inside lol.

At least mine is not the only one with this issue, which pretty much convinces me the engine is OK. ,have to live with it I guess.
Now that I think about I believe the rear sides of my SW Camaro are just
collecting road film/dirt. My exhaust and rear body panel don't get dirty like
the rear sides. Like you, I just can't drive a dirty car.

Have no problems with the SS. Now my '12 1LT was a dirty little pig in the exhaust department.

driving a 2LT RS and getting soot as well on the exhaust. I had the dealer do a routine inspection recently, and everything came out fine. Is the soot present because the LT is a direct injection engine?
