The Ls3 paired with m6 is so big it dosent require high rpms to go like the v6 auto. I drive with half to 3\4 throttle up to 2500 rpm. Autos are really inefficent in stop and go traffic, because of fluid torque converter but mostly high engine speed combined with alot more suction losses because of light throttle driving.

FWIW.... your high way speed mileage probably is better than mine all around. Mine can and does drop it from 29mpg to 24 to 26 mpg as other factors with the enviroment come in to play.

Are you figuring that manually or just going by the DIC? My driving is all city, I shift around 2000 rpms, sometimes a little higher, sometimes a bit lower. Doing the calculations myself, I get around 14.3 - 14.8 mpg. On a couple rare occasions I got a tad over 15 mpg. How do you get 22 mpg in the city??

over all dic between fillups, i might skip gears (1st to 3rd then 5th and cruise just above 1k rpm between 35 and 45mph)

Also I use alot more throttle at low rpm after 1st again because the engine is so big and the car is so light. Its not intuitive but I went ahead and adjusted because its easier and saves lots of gas.

im also not just doing stop and go like chicago

I love driving past chicago (the sky way bridge) because they lack horse power but thier cars are respectable.

I have my car up for sale btw, one could easily add a super charger and a few beefed up componets (suspension\axel) for way less than a ZL1

The DIC on most modern cars is calculating average mpg. That means when you are idling at a red light you are getting 0 mpg added into the equation. To accurately calculate what your car is doing you need to drive it at a steady speed for several miles after resetting the DIC.

True. Never thought of that. How do I reset it? Just go to the MPG screen on DIC and push in the little button on the turn signal stalk?

Yeah, that really sucks..But I think there is not so much issue with it, yesterday I clear the mpg setting and road tested only in a highway or in road with almost no cars, at the midle night.. So 20 minutes later it was at 17 mpg..
There are too many works on the roads arround my house those time, I guess it's why I'm getting those bad mpgs..!
