I saw that article too for the L92. I didn't know the L92 was 6.2L so I thought the gains might be different for the L99. Another thing that will affect the power gains is the AFM on the L99. I'd like to see how the cam phaser affects the L99 numbers to keep AFM active? The L92 does not have AFM, right?

My dealership said i can install any mods on the car but they will only void the warranty if the problem is caused by the mod. I suggest asking your dealer about that too.

L92 has VVT, but not AFM. think of the L92 as an iron block L99.

The L92 in the Denali and Escalade doesn't have AFM. The Pontiac G8 has AFM but no VVT. Some of the 6.0L trucks now have both AFM and VVT. The L99 is the first full production 6.2L with both. The first few 6.2L 2007 Escalades came with it but it was disabled.

I was looking on Comp Cams website and found the specs for their 4 VVT cams and thought some of you might like to check them out.

Nothing wrong with comp, but I'd seriously look into others doing the same thing...comp is like mcdonalds, nothing wrong with it, but you might be able to get a better burger some place else...

New Era and MAST Motorsports would be 2 shops that come to mind that have been doing R&D on these cams for a while now. I have spoke at length on the phone with both shops and both Mike and Horace are great to deal with...Mike is on the forum almost daily, I'd support the shops that are supporting you guys...I don't see comp anywhere on here...
