based on what you are looking you might consider adding a 2.3L heartbeat to your car, along with some suspension upgrades, and hit your goals that way.

I never did get why people say "Just throw a blower on an SS, it'll be cheaper." Yeah it will be cheaper, but it still won't be near the car that the ZL1 is. I guess it really depends what you want. If you're a budget drag racer then yeah the SS would probably be the better route to go, in the short term. The LSA is already set up for boost, lower compression, oil squirters, (some) forged internals.

You really don't need the advice of anyone on this forum. If your mind is made up and you are definitely trading up, and have the budget to do it, then by all means do it. If you don't have the budget then obviously don't. Unless you want to put yourself behind the eight ball for the next 5 to 6 years.

Good luck on the decision. If you can fund it, go with a ZL1. You will definitely have a perma grin.

Hey guys, thanks for the replies.
Yeah, it sounds like I need to be shopping for '14 model year then for the Recaros at least. I'll just keep my eyes open for a dealer desperate to move a 2014 ZL1 with the right equipment and pay attention to this sub section as well. I don't drag race or any race competitively, it would just be a fine weather driver and car show car. Money IS an issue, but I have no responsibilities whatsoever, so I have that going for me - which is nice. I'm hyper aware that anything over $55K and I'll be in C7 territory. I don't know what a "supercharger isolator" is or if it's good or bad! I'll do my research. All replies were appreciated! -------------------------------------------- ...and here's a good example of a 2013 ZL1 only 800 miles. Since Recaro seats weren't available in 2013, the only thing missing is the microsuede package. Not bad for $47K? I bet they'd do $45K...crap. http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...83367041&Log=0

Best deals will be found December through March. Members here bought new 13's al low as $48k. Move your car privately and then watch and wait.
