I knew there was no way a little tiny rock could be making so much noise.
So now I guess I just call them and say nope you didn't fix it. And make another appointment.

Took it back in today. Sat in the car with the tech and he at least claimed that he heard it. Anyway I left my car there and hopefully they will find something out. Of course they close early new years eve, and are closed new years day.

Ugh. Sorry to hear that youll be without your car for a while. But glad they are actually acknowledging the problem now. Hope they fix it.

When I was with the tech it made the noise when I would switch from P or N to R or D. And when I turned my steering wheel all the way to the right it did it. So whatever that means, Im sticking with a exhaust baffle or something else exhaust related.

Does anyone else have such communication issues with their dealership? I'm mean can they not call and give me any updates. It's been three days.

Yeah they are horrible for the most part. To be honest they have probably forgotten about your car. Then when they remember its there they will call you and say its all set, without working on it just to collect a fat paycheck from GM. Call them every day until they give you an ETA. Tell them that they better have worked on it as the tech did note a problem. GL. Keep us updated.

They ordered new motor mounts will be in Tuesday. Thoughts on this, could mounts cause my noise? I doubt it myself, but we will see.

Thinking the reason for the new mounts is because turning the wheel all the way to the right makes the noise.

They claim the new motor mounts stopped the noise. Ill be picking up tomorrow and see for myself.

Well if there was some wood on this site I would knock on it.
But I did not hear any rattling noises when I got home from work last night. Hopefully im all good now, but I still wonder how motor mounts were the issue.

I had a similar issue a while back. Was rattling pretty bad under the passenger seat, it seemed.

Turns out that a bolt had backed out of the clamp holding the exhaust piping together right under the cabin of the car, and the pipes had become loose, and almost separated. Got the clamp back on good and tight, and it helped, but didn't take the entire rattle away.

Not long after that, my oil pan gasket had to be replaced. Took it into the shop, and they told me that I also had a busted motor mount. Replaced motor mount/pan gasket, and when I picked the car up, no more rattle!

Not sure how/why it fixed the issue, but you're probably good now
