No, he's referring to the original ponycar comparo between the Camaro SS, Mustang GT with track pack, and the Challenger RT. MT gave it to the Camaro by a wide margin.

Randy Pobst is a drivers driver. His comments can be taken seriously. I've seen his driving talents first hand and he is awesome. He started off in autocross and rose through the ranks.

This tells a completely different story then how they placed them.

Honestly tell me there wasnt money or a motive involved here. Just because your a good driver doesnt mean you dont like money to say somthing different then you may be thinking or that paper shows.

Again why even race the cars when the outcomes dont matter at all?

And it's not because the Camaro, CTS-V, or ZR1 lost...honestly, I expected two of the three to lose. The whole article came off as absolute 'fail' to me...

If you read the whole article you'll get a better idea how they ranked them. It wasn't quantitative. If that was the case the Corvette would have been the winner. It really boiled down to the Camaro understeering like a pig. Randy did say that Chevy could easily correct this with some suspension re tuning.

I have never cared for MT and this is another reason. Putting 100k dollar cars against 30k dollar cars. Gee, I wonder why..

I've driven MX5s and been beat by them on autocross courses. They are an absolute hoot to drive. On an open track horse power makes a hell of a difference in the lap times.
