Drive. If your dealer is 5 miles from the house odds are you are taking it out for a joy ride anyways, why not just make it part of the whole experience of getting it?

I picked mine up in Midland MI, about a 200 mile drive..Was AWESOME to drive her 210 miles the first day...

Trust my recommendation to go pick her up and drive back, You will be quite glad you did..and it will give you some "bonging time" with your new girl.

DRIVE IT!! I picked up my car 250 miles away... so happy with the decision to drive it, by myself, and really get a feel for all that this car is capable of.

I even made a short 2 minute video of the pickup and the drive home... what an experience!

I ordered my Camaro from a Dealer that is 1100 miles (4 States) away from me!

I am in the Denver area, and the Dealer is in Oregon.

I did it to help a friend whom was helping me.

I for SURE will Drive mine home!

Just not like I drive my 67!

I don't see what the big deal is in driving it home? It isn't like driving from cali to tx then back with a 66 mustang fastback, on a flat bed...slow...very slow.

lol. Its a new car, and meant to be driven, when I get mine, I am going to drive the wheels off of it use it up, then strip down to rebuild the way I've always wanted the new camaro.

Catch a local flight there or take a road trip with a friend and go pick it up! I picked up a 68 chevelle ss from wyoming, off a student at the wyotech campus, and drove that sucker home.

Hmmm, anyways I think I should go to best buy and look at a new camera. Been hankering to get a new cam

just drive, I'm picking mine up next week in OH. Flying their and driving back, all 492 miles in my camaro. Just do like someone said, no cruise control and vary the speeds and rpms/gears. Keep it under 100 mph and do not go past 4000 rpm. Enjoy the ride and the car

Our dealer is in Bastrop, Texas, about 225 miles from Ft. Worth. We went there to get it this past Tuesday, August 18th. Lady Z (Mary) drove her 2SS RS 6M back home and loved every minute and mile of it!! We now have about 650 miles on it and will give a one week, 1,000 mile report in the next few days.

Agreed. I bought mine from a fellow Camaro5 member in Austin and drove it home about 600 miles. It went fast and helped with the break in - especially that Austin and Fort Worth traffic

Just load up your iPod with some great tunes or activate XM and enjoy the experience!
