Thanks everyone. I spoke with the shop and they said if not happy they will put $$$ toward dyno tune. Also they said the street tune would be about the same as dyno + or - 5 hp.

I'd go with trifecta performance... Idk how people on this forum havnt heard of them... their at wot-tuning.com they are awesome and it was $350 for the tune... u can do data logs and they will retune it for free later down the road if u have other adjustments... we have headers cats CAI exhaust and spark plug wires n they tuned it pretty damn good did a data log and they even made it better n they also tune the transmission with it, makes it bad ass

You can add a Modified intake manifold or wait for the results from the MSD to come out or possible the Vararam if it ever comes out!
And you can add an under drive pulley.

I've been fortunate to have access to a closed off road out in the sticks, so I've never used a dyno to tune any of my past projects, but instead with tried and tested wideband O2 and logging software, and of course a friend to tag along .

this makes me said. From the last dyno tune they had me at 413 at the wheels with the current mods in my sig. When they did the before dyno pull I was at 330 with headers and intake on a stock tune...seems a bit low. Cam gained me around 85 hp. Dyno seems low on the numbers, but the before and after shows a good bump.

I've done street tune and Dyno. Street tune will leave a few hp on the table but you'll get good gains from both.

BTW, that "street tune" will probably be a can tune and that's it. Something similar to plugging in a Diablo Intune and downloading that tune file. I doubt it will be specific to your car.

Just drive a little. Florida Speed and Power (FSP) is in Bradenton, Redline Motorsports is in Ft. Lauderdale, and Lashway Motorsports is in the same area as Redline, right near Pompano Beach. You cant go wrong with any of those shops.
Lot of places do canned tunes for street and Dyno. You have more than capable people down around Miami but if looking to drive Tampa Tuning can do a great street tune. Will drive around with you for hours until you and Phil are happy if needed. Phil makes sure everything is spot on before you leave.

This just goes to show you that your dyno #'s can never truly compare to another cars numbers unless they are both on the same dyno. As long as your gains are consistant from start to finish it doesn't matter what the peak numbers say. That's just for bragging rights on a dyno sheet.

The better test is what can you do with those numbers. My opinion dyno only gives you a look at what needs to be changed to put the engine running at its optimal potential.
Next it's up to you to utilize the tune to your own driving and racing ability to get everything out of your combo. Hence why people say track times is a true test of BOTH dyno #'s AND driver ability and racing knowledge.

I have very similar mods except for no ported tb, 1-7/8 Kooks LTH's, x-pipe, Kooks 3" exhaust and a Cold Air INC CAI and after a conservative tune made 368rwhp/383ft-lbs torque.

Yep, dynos can vary. Only thing is, not all of us that do performance modification drag race or autocross and I am one of those guys. I am just trying to build a street machine that I take to car shows and do some spirited driving.
