Im getting soooo frustrated someone please help

this is my first car so i got alot of things sent my way that i never thought abt... things i didnt know i could say... thats bs... maybe because im young... dont know but next time... ill have a better sense of the whole ordering and what can be done etc...

I just received verification on my order that I have moved to 2000 ( today! ) on the second order I placed ( 6Aug 09 ) with a different dealer, because my first order which was placed May 28th is still at 1100. I just got back from officially cancelling the first order, got my deposit back ($500). When I told them to cancel my order because I have an allocation with another dealer, they then told me that they could move me up if I kept my order there. I said no thanks since I'm already at 2000. I can't believe that after three months they were just now willing to help me out by moving me up.
Anyways if you really want your car faster get with someone that can get you an allocation quicker and not require that much of a down payment. I only put down $500 at each dealer and both were reimburseable.
My dealer also is giving me the GM military discount and USAA $750 discount also. The good dealers are out there you just have to do some research to find them. The dealer I'm using now is in Weatherford, TX at Jerry's Chevrolet, which is about 15min from where I do my AF reserve duty.

Go some place else, at least he was honest with you and told you it wouldn't be until Christmas!
But DO NOT pay one penny over MSRP. There are lots on the ground right now. There is a Rally Yellow for list right around the corner from me now.

Talked to the inventory manager at my dealer. He can place your order next week- as in this upcoming week your order can already be placed and cruising to event code 2000 and beyond. How's that for quick?

one dealer in scarsdale, ny Curry tried to tell me they get $5000 to $10,000 over stickier.. i was like peace.. then they talking about $3000 over stickier. I was like no way.. Couple i talked to wanted over MSRP like $3,000
I ended up going to Paramus and got $200 under MSRP
going to look into that GM military discount.. didnt see it anywhere on GM website

+1. A dealer asked for a $5,000 deposit on a Challenger with no hope or promise of delivery. I got a 2LT/RS instead...and the Dodge dealer lost their franchise agreement in the Chrysler bankruptcy. HAHAHAHAHAHA~!!!!!!

How do I know if the dealer really has open allocation or if he is just telling me he does to get the deal.

I currently have two available to me....ready for immediate purchase....one is a Black Black Leather with Cyber Gray Stripes on a 2SS/RS Auto Trans, Ground Effects, Car Cover MSRP of $39K and change......the second is a 2SS Victory Red on Black Leather 6 Speed Manual Trans with Black Rally stripes that have not been installed yet....this one has a MSRP of just shy of $35K....if you want to email me directly I can get you the info....they are not being marked up and are on the ground so my buddy tells me.....

You don't. You have to trust the dealer. I checked mine (who I absolutely trust) and they have open allocation next week. Order now and be at Event Code 2000 next week. Period.
