Even full of pink wash fluid, the bottle still appears black. This blends in better with my engine compartment.

My previous install used 4’ of clear plastic tubing for running the fluid down to the pump. It is 1/2” outer and 3/8” inner. It runs along the bottom of my CAI box, and then though a hole at the front. I have the hose zip-tied to flex-loom to prevent it from wearing on the sharp metal in this area. It then goes downhill to the OEM pump.

I put a smaller hose over the pump shaft, then slid the bigger one over that, and secured both with a hose clamp. I ran the line so that the pump is the lowest point; this prevent any air bubbles from interrupting the fluid flow.

(green line is fluid, yellow is air scoop)

good job excellent write up. Wished you would have done it earlier since I bought a kit.

Did you use the factory pump? Didn't see anything about that

Yes, I used the factory pump, and nothing was cut or removed from it. The supply tubing that I ran down to the pump (from the bottle) was 3/8" diameter inside. The pump inlet is about 1/4", so it needed a small spacer to fill the gap between the inlet and the hose. I had some smaller tubing that fit over the inlet, and was still small enough to fit inside the larger supply tubing. I cut a piece of this about 1/2" long, then put the larger hose over it, and finally used a hose clamp to squeeze both hoses tight on to the pump inlet. Nothing has leaked out in over a year.

I hung the pump from the frame with zip-ties. The pump is down by the headlight; this way any bubbles that form in the supply tubing will float back up to the bottle, and keep the line full of washer fluid.

Nice write up! I have a stupid question though. I had someone pull the stock WW reservoir out when they were doing other work on my car to let more air in for my CAI: long story short, now I am trying to install a WW kit, and cannot find the tube that goes from the pump to the actually windshield wipers. Do you guys know where this line runs? I found the power for the pump, just no line.....

I believe you will find the line running along the fender (side by side) with the hood release cable.

Look under the hood by the windshield. You should be able to see the wash hose running from the squirters, down the driver's side of the car, and disappearing down into the front wheel well. I would pull on this hose and see where it got shoved. If it got cut off before the wheel well, then you will need to run new line.

Nice write up Yzark...
I've been mod ding Jeeps for years and have been looking to add the Apex scoop and was wondering if there was an option to buying the WW relocation.
I have a new project!

Not quite MacGyver level: "Trapped inside a bank vault, MacGyver uses a paperclip, matchbook and rubber band to construct a laser and burn his way out..."

Well, it's been a while since I did this mod. No leaks, and my bottle is still 3/4 full after all of this time.
