You are a minority on here.

There's running your car hard (which i do) and just all out abuse. The car will withstand hard use, it's the tire spinning and driveline abuse they do not like.

Although I get on it now and then I don't beat any of my vehicles, I don't believe in beating or tearing something up that I am paying a lot of $$$ to own.

There is a huge difference between "using" something and "abusing" something. I bought mine as a weekend toy. I have fun with it, but I also don't beat the living snot out of it. Are you trying to see how far you can push it 'til it breaks?

After tallying up the results so far it's close but you are wrong.

I want to treat her right, but every time I hear her wind up off the line I just keep my foot in it and end up shifting straight to fourth (non-interstate driving).

There are a fair number of guys who race these things and we all beat the chit out of them when we are doing that. I can't imagine running any harder on the street than I do at the track, especially when getting used to a new setup.

I don't ever bounce off of the limiter but i do drive mine hard sometimes, but lately i've slowed down my driving habits due to children coming into the mix...and an over protective fiance.

I don't drive it like a Granny, but I will not beat my baby

I'm not going to redline the thing all the time, but I do tend to create a decent sized gap between myself and others when a red light goes green.

There's a big difference between having fun driving aggressively and straight up abusing the car. You seem to be in the abusing the car category with your constant bouncing off the rev limiter, like those silly ricers.

This is what I was thinking but didn't know if I should put it out there.

It seems to be the common place thing to do for those people with anything but a V8. I guess bouncing off of the rev limiter helps them make up for not buying a V8?

I've never tried to bounce it off the rev limiter, but I have missed a gear more than once. It did not explode.
