Baby or Beat

I'm the guy that drives my car like I'm trying to kill it on a very regular basis. Bouncin off the redline daily. I was just wondering...am I in the minority or the majority? Don't get me wrong I keep my fluids checked and changed regularly.

actually to be honest i think it depends on the day and how i feel like driving.. There are times i like taking back roads and just cruise if its nice out... You know with the windows down and music up loud..

Then there days i hop right on the highways and book it... jam the gas down to the floor after every light. make the wheels chirp

I take care of it and do not neglect things, but I do beat the snot out of it constantly. Still, take care of it and it will take care of you!

Wide open throttle to redline hardly ever. I don't see a need, as fun can be had well before I reach that point. I would be flying through traffic dangerously all the time, burning through tires like crazy lol, making babies cry.

I stay on the modest side of things with mine... shift in the mid-range and maybe linger around 10-25% throttle 90 percent of the time. Love the feel of acceleration down low about as much as up high. Its loud too... so unless I want to be the center of attention in traffic... no... I'll continue to stay modest... somewhere between baby and beat, but closer to baby...

I'm approaching 500 miles on the odo, so depending on who you believe, I should be doing one or the other. However, coming from a Corvette to an SUV to this beast, I've got to learn how the car handles before I go all coyote ugly on the throttle. So, middle of the two. For now.

I'm am OCD about taking care of everything about my car, but I drive it like it's supposed to be driven. WOT and burnin tires at every chance, that's why I bought a V8 muscle car.

In between my Z28 and my SS I had 2 LTZ impalas that I drove like an old lady I needed to feel alive again

I used to beat my 98 Z like I stole it. After having my license suspended and even revoked a few times, not to mention paying a fortune for Insurance as a result, I have slowed it down allot over the years. I even get the safe driver discount with my Insurance company now. Still get on it a bit every now and then but very rarely speed in excess these days. I've learned my lesson. I'll go to the track when I feel the need to see what the car will do.

I have a 99 malibu with just over 100,000 miles on it, people drive by me and look expecting to see a 100 year old lady with 3" glasses on. But when I'm in the camaro I drive it hard 90% of the time. The car was built to be driven and that's what I bought it for. With all the mods I have, it's kinda hard not to step on the gas to hear that beatiful engine roar. I change my oil every 3000 miles and before/after storage and have used nothing but 94 octane since I got the car.

Ha, in between my 2007 WRX Wagon I had a 2010 Impala LT and a 2009 Jeep Wrangler and I drove both like an old granny, driving around 65mph 90% of the time... it was definitely time for another fast car.

As a general rule, I don't do redline. It's exceptionally rare to exceed 4,000 maybe 4,500 rpm in daily driving. I drive spiritedly sometimes but I don't "beat" on the car and I don't ever want to get tapped for being reckless.

Well it depends on the day I guess,
-Cutouts open, windows down, Metallica blaring, driving like I'm 16 years old.
-Cutouts closed, windows up, George straight playin, driving like I'm 75.

Lol I'm only 27 btw.
