Sunday I went to my local Ace Hardware store and got two 1/16" roll pins. So far I only have done one key, but it's a piece of cake. Chipped off the plastic the dealer put on the key, inserted key into fob, then used Vise grips to push pin into hole. Used a file to take off excess pin length. Back to original switchblade key! I may leave one key in two pieces, just so I don't have to argue with service dept. about "fixing" it again.

I conveniently have a set of roll pin punches left over from when I built guns. Yea all I have over here is Lowes and Home Depot.... there is an ACE just gotta really use some gas to get there.

I used to love the old Mom and Pop run hardware stores. They had so many unique things you couldn't find anywhere else. We had one just up the road that closed a few years ago. It's now a Liquor store..

I didn't use roll pins.. I just put some Superglue in there and used a spare key over night.
