The warranty starts when the car is originally delivered. Now who gets screwed with the warranty? Does the warranty start over for the new buyer??

WTF?? New GM?

If they return it, GM would take the depreciation hit. It's a risk they are willing to take for the sake of getting people into dealerships. The car then becomes a 2-month old used vehicle with 4000 miles on it, and a full 5-year, 100,000 mile warranty. (okay, so 4.9 year, 96,0000 mile warranty)

With all the unscrupulous dealers out there, they would still probably try to sell it at full msrp or higher to some unsuspecting sucker.

I don't need to read the small print because there's nice people like you to explain it to me.

And I'm still looking for the fine print?
From what I heard GM took out an insurance policy in case they lose too much on this.

Q: What are the details of the satisifaction guarantee? Will the program be complicated?
A: Heres' a summary of the satisfaction guarantee:

· Return a vehicle with less than 4000 miles between 31 and 60 days
· Customers will be informed in writing before they buy the vehicle of the terms of the Satisfaction Guarantee
· The Satisfaction Guarantee covers the vehicle purchase price and sales tax, but not other add-ons like accessories, negative equity on a trade-in or other fees; other restrictions apply

You do not have to buy a competitive vehicle to qualify.

There are restrictions because it's guaranteed by an insurance company.

As long as you don't damage it, abuse it or go over the miles, looks like you can return it, even for spite.

What about the $500 rebate? If someone signs the rebate offer, waiving the 60 day return offer, then they can no longer return the vehicle?
