I'm glad I'm not the only one who referred to it as rice crispies... Still haven't gotten mine fixed... yet to find a dealer I like/trust since mine closed Glad to see others are having luck getting fixed though.

Mine sounded like a coffee maker until I got it fixed.

I heard the same thing. Took it to the dealer this morning and gave them TSB #09-01-37-001. They had the part in stock. He told me the car had to cool off a little because they have to remove a gallon or so of coolant to install the valve. picked it up this afternoon and NO MORE NOISE.

You all please tell me if this is the same sound you are referencing in this thread. I have the LS3 - M6 transmission. This only happens when the car is cold and only when going through 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears. It sounds like liquid rushing through a hose/pipe or something coming from the passenger side dash or center console. I look over in the passenger floorboard expecting to see something gushing but cannot figure out what it is. After a minute or two of driving, I don't hear it anymore...just when I start off initially to work in the morning. Is this the same phenomenon you all are talking about?

Appreciate it. Will schedule this TSB during my first oil change at the dealership.

Okay – I too have this noise. Picked up my 2SS stick a week ago and wife and I heard the noise right away. There are various descriptions on Camaro5 but I’m sure it’s the same thing. During this last week I discovered that the noise does not occur when the engine is first started but begins when the engine temperature starts rising. At running temperature it’s bad – especially in first, second and third.
Took the car in today and showed them some of the posts that I printed out about this problem and told them about TSB 09-01-37-001. They went right by the bulletin and found the part at their sister dealership. They ran the part over and did the install. Drove off the lot and the noise was gone! Hurray! Then it came back two blocks later and is just a bad as it was. Bummer. It’s very annoying – not the dealer, the noise - and next week the car’s going back in. Glad to hear that some of you guys are getting this problem fixed.

Took mine in for the same noise and the dealer fixed it using the TSB listed here.

That was 3 weeks ago and now the noise is back.

Now what?

Noise is back in full swing again.

How many of you have had the noise return?

I had TSB 09-01-37-001 done a couple of weeks ago and I still have the noise. Service manager said that he had the “regional engineer” working on it. Looks like this problem only occurs on an SS stick. It’s very annoying. I turn the radio up loud.

There is a copy of the TSB in the link below. You can verify the dealer put the one way "anti-gurgle" valve in by comparing your cars heater hoses after the fix to the TSB.

I did that and they did the work.
