I remember when the VW Bugs came out, dealers where buying them and then selling them at the Grand Rapids Auto Auction for 5g over purchase. Six months later the cars were going for MSRP. Cool your jets guys, I told the wife she can't have one till next year. Like I really think what I say means anything.

With tax and fees that car will be almost the same price as an SS.

LS $23040.00
Auto $995.00
Spare tire $150.00
Floor mats $60.00
and, oh yeah did I mention...
Polished 21" wheels $4680.00
then there's the market adjustment $1400.00
and $219.00 paint protection or window tint, I can't remember.
TOTAL $30544.00.

I tried talking to them rationally when I first saw it on spasticsquirell, I really wanted that car, but not the 21" wheels. Then they told me about the $1400.00 and I just gave up on them. I stopped by to see it one weekend when I was up north and the idiots decided to throw on a set of CGM rally stripes. I guess the car wasn't hard enough to sell already.

Now I call once every week or two, ask if it's still available, politly say thanks and hung up.

My patience paid off. I found a CGM LS 6M and bought it at MSRP and I am very happy.
I haven't lived there in a while, but I still consider it my hometown... There's a Chevy dealer in Grand Forks, ND that -- last I knew, according to friends -- was selling Camaros @ or up to $500 BELOW MSRP. Not too many people want a rear-wheel drive vehicle in the northland, even if it does look pretty freakin' sweet and have traction control.

For the amount of difference, you could fly in, buy the car, and break in your new baby driving home.
