Is this on a 2010? The biggest issue with going between models and between years is whether it will seal to the right specs. I've run into evap codes because of a cap that operates outside of specs. If you've found one that isn't setting codes...I'd see if you could find a part number on it...There are plenty of people here looking for one for sure!

I didn't mean to be pessimistic in my other post, but unfortunately the criminal minded will always find a way. A locking cap might slow them down enough that they would move to another car.

I don't want a locking gas filler door; You'll just tee-them-off and they'll pry it open or do other damage to the car.

They can have a couple gallons of my gasoline... just don't damage my car! (Of course, like many of you, I hope they try when they don't know I'm looking!!)

If they're punks and just want to vandalize your car to get their jollies, they will... one way or the other.

Do you leave your house unlocked? I thought not.

I still want a locking cap.

Well....I have long tubes on my car...and I knew it would throw a code..The dealership put it on the computer and I said it is probably going to throw a code because of the gas cap..and the tech told me that the code was for the Converters ( Cats) not performing right..due to the headers...he said nothing about an Evap code being shown....I'll try to get a part number or ask my brother inlaw where he bought it..like I said he had twin tanks on an older silverado and he purchased it for that reason....it seems to fit really well and works fine.

Just got off the phone with Stant Inc....They have not officially designated a part number for the 2010 Camaro locking Gas cap but I told him what I was using and he said that it is the one they are going to designate but they have to make sure that the cap fits "in the Pocket"..so the fuel door will close...I told him I have been using it and the door shuts fine. He then said that that is the cap they will probably designate as the Camaro cap....the Stant part number is #10504 for what it's worth guys..give it a try..only around 10 bucks and mine seems to fit fine. Edit...$12.60 on Amazon.

Thanks Badger! I'll give it a shot! A locking cap should be enough to keep the haters from dumping shit in the tank!

The Stant 11504/10504 locking gas cap does fit, and is working on my 2010 Camaro, so far. The different numbers has to do with how they are packaged, but are the same part, according to Stant.

My Bonnevilles have a fuel filler pipe that is impossible to get a hose down, maybe the Camaro is the same, has anyone tried it?
You may not need a locking cap at all....

A locking gas cap will help keep someone intent on malicious mischief from contaminating your tank. It only takes seconds to pour something bad in. I am not nearly as worried about losing the gas.

Seems like there is a lot of jealous hatred surrounding the new Camaro, and just trying to be cautious.

I would just get a locking gas cap. If someone is looking to steal gas its easier to just look for another car with out a lock on it instead of trying to fight with yours that is locked.
