Z lover that is easily fixed you can remove the handles fill them in and buy a door popper kit with remote. Ive installed about 50 of these its pretty easy. Paint is no problem for me anyway Im a bodyman.

Thanks 6... I had been considering shaving the handles.. I've seen it done, and it does look pretty cool... but with the frozen climate I live in 9 months of the year, I'm not sure it's practical... then again, maybe it will make my z-28 harder to steal

I will state again that I prefer the 'flipper' style handles like the Hondas use.. I do agree that they get scratched underneath from fingernails, wedding bands, etc... but they look "slick"-er.. which is why I think the concept has them... I really hope they are considering flipper handles.

You're referring to the Honda S2000 handles, correct?..
Honda uses 3 (that I can currently remember) types of handles.
Civic/Accord handles are similar
theres the Ridgeline handles..
and the ones from the S2000

call me an r-tard, but, I'm missing what you mean by "flipper" =/

Hi;

Sorry for the lack of description... what I call a "flipper" handle is a handle that is normally flush with the door panel, (usually painted) and has a recess under the handle. You grab the flap/handle and "flip/pull" upwards...

Interestingly, I think I am going to lose out on this one (I'm still getting my z'er)... I just checked the GM website, and almost every car I found uses the "bar" style we see on the prototypes... so maybe GM is getting a bulk discount on these handles ?

What I would prefer is the style of handles like on the Grand Prix.

You curl your fingers around the edge of the door "handle". There's a little rubber-covered button that you press. It activates all the electronics in the door and it opens up. No handle to pull or look ugly.

That's also how the handle works on the rear liftgate of our '08 Equinox.

I wish all cars would go to handles that are integrated into the edge of the door for a more smooth look.
