I have those, they're lighter than stock by at least 50%. Plus they sound amazing for the price. You can't go wrong!

Don't be sorry. Take a few pics of the install process if you can. Hope the Best Buy speakers fix it.

Doing these right now. I am not installing the tweeters that came with the kit, not willing to modify my car. I will keep my eye out on other threads on what people did to make the tweeters work. snapped a few pics, i will post them when done and offer my impressions as well.

Sorry for the delay in responding.

You want the components because of you look at the bottom of your a-pillar that is where the tweeter is.

If you go with a co-ax speaker all of your sound will be down at your ankles. Trust me, there is NO JOY there.

yeah, the original intention was for that tweeter to stay there and just add some more depth. I did get the speakers installed and i will get an accurate opinion on how they sound while i'm driving to and from work tomorrow (2.5hrs)

I snapped some pics and even took some weights just for funsies.

I went with Focal audio all around, including my sub and amps. A+!

I'd call it a good improvement. Only issue is with the fronts installed it sounds like 100% of the music is coming from in front of you. I really didn't want to do the rears but i guess i may now. It was a good upgrade, not the greatest as a new head unit and an amp would really help out but the music does not sound nearly as flat. I cam from a 2SS with the boston acoustic stereo and i really liked that while most people call that crap... This is a step below that for obvious reasons but a step above the stock paper crap we have. I used the factory tweeters and changed just the door speakers. maybe later on i will look into installing the kenwood tweeters but for now it's just fine.

adapters were Metra 83-2010 $19 from amazon

I bought a harness kit but turns out i got the wrong one so i cut the wires. There was a diagram on this forum that laid out which color was +/- so it was real easy...

Demon: So you've had the new speakers for a while now. Are you liking them? Did you change the rear ones as well? What wiring did you have to do? Wasn't it just a matter of plugging in the new ones?

Were the door cards hard to remove and install?

Door panels were easy to do. disconnecting the harness connectors were the most difficult and that wasn't that bad, just tough angles. I did not do the rears, the fronts really did enough to make me happy. Still glad i did it, much improved. I used some harness adapters from crutchfield so everything was plug and play.
