I almost bought an elite e2, but then decided on a Mighty Mouse.

Interesting. Looks like you end up venting the excess crank case pressure into the engine compartment. Which would hopefully be cleaned by the filter on the top. I have a feeling this may throw off the A/F ratio a little? You're venting air that the MAF thinks is in the engine somewhere. So I think you'd run slightly rich maybe?

Phastek catch can
I bought the Phastek in satin finish. Works fine, fairly easy install and priced the least. Why pay more?

If you look at elite's picture, you can see the flow pattern. I can't tell from the Phastek, but it looks like the air "short circuits" and goes in then 90 degrees out, vs the elite which has to go around the media. It probably works well, though, and definitely much better than not even running a catch can.

Same with mine. Pretty crazy stuff, seeing how all of that would've gone through the intake manifold into the engine. I've gone about 400 miles on mine, probably time to take a look so I can get a good judge on how often I should empty it.

Yes you definitely don't want it to overflow!! I'm still watching it but I think every oil change should do it.

If you run your car hard or if you track it. It is best to check it quite often. Just what I do.

I drain mine every 5000 miles and the RX cc collects 7 ounces.

I personally endorse the RX Speedworks catch can, and can say that the Elite Engineering catch can is also very well made. The main difference between the two is that on the RX catch can, true -AN fittings and one-way check valves come standard, and RX offers a braided stainless steel line upgrade option.
