They were the ones parked off to the side next to the safety trucks.

I wouldn't be crowing about the GT's problems yet...

They put down the fastest lap of the entire class. Once they get the bugs worked out..they're going to be a very tough car to beat.

We are just having fun. They set themselves up for it with all the talk about how great testing had gone and that they were bulletproof. Time will tell.

Yeah, after all the sh*t talking from Ford fans about how the all new totally awesome GT would destroy the ancient C7.Rs, it was refreshing to see the exact opposite happen.

That assumes that the two aren't related. Running too hard for too long has a tendency to break things.

Same way at Watkins Glen . Their set up at the races is World Class. When you see their Garage area it's holy Crap and then you see their Pit set up .... Unreal .

oh for sure, once they get the bugs worked out the car will be a serious competitor. but that was not a good showing for them at all.

And also, Corvette/Chevy powered cars took 6 of the top 10 places out of the 53 car field

And almost took 1st overall but for a oil pressure problem which cost 3 laps, they finished 1.333 seconds back! Crazy

I was saying and thinking the same thing, but I don't think they would be able to maintain that pace for a stint, or multiple stints but if they can then the rest of the field has some work to do.

The main problem I have with the Ford GT is that I think the rules were stretched a bit for it to run in class. It seems like the body was shaped in general to sort of replicate a prototype design and the massive air pass throughs in the rear next to the engine and intakes reminds me of the Nissan LMP1 contender with its air tunnels.

Eagerly waiting for the next race at Sebring or Silverstone To see if they can fix the reliability issues or if the WEC team will run into the same problems.

Just thought I'd share, as nobody here at work could give a sh*t and I think it's awesome.

That's really awesome!

Negative ghostrider, dont be spreading misinformation, it was the a C7R Corvette that posted the fastest lap in their class.
