Damn... I want this. But my searches turned up one models 2011 to 2015... nothing about a 2010. Anyone got a link to the 2010 version? Or will the 2011-2015 version work?

Thanks for the info...

This is what I saw on the Gen5DIY site. Think this might be what you were looking for.

Here is for the Non-Navigation model:

So... how much is the unit? Can it only be ordered from GM or are there cheaper alternatives? I have the Schosche kit and a Kenwood, but would prefer the factory look, I think. As well as restoring features I lost previously by installing the unit (USB, Aux in, Bluetooth, etc.)
I've got similar to you with Kenwood. I have usb, Bluetooth, aux in. I love the schoche look vs. the factory my link. But that's just me. I thought I'd hate it but it's cleaner than the bulging my link that is old technology now. I even put in a rear view camera. I did the install myself as I can see why people have issues with installers that rush the job and cause wiring issues or break the face plate. The cool thing is if I want a new stereo with nav or intergalactic star presence detection or whatever the new technology will be then it's a simple swap and maybe one or two wire change depending on stereo brand. Just my .02 cents.

Now MyLink and rear camera are standard features - I have '15, so it makes me wonder what else they'll add over the next few years that will make me want to mod or upgrade.

Awesome install! I am trying to decide about this exact upgrade.

OP, would you mind answering a question I have either here or in a PM?

1. How is the bluetooth input sound volume with the new MyLink radio? One of my goals for this upgrade would be that it improves that specific input's volume to better match the standard radio / CD

On my factory radio (2010) both the USB and AUX input have a much lower volume output compared to a CD or the radio. I have tried plugging my Andriod phone in using both a standard 3.5mm aux cable (result: lower volume), usb (result: device not recognized) AND a bluetooth stream stick (power from USB, input to aux, result: lower volume).

TL : DR - Compared to the original factory radio aux input. Does the new bluetooth input offered by your MyLink have a better volume output? (original radio seems to have a much lower volume when using the aux connection compared to a CD or radio)

I did experience poor quality from the base unit so I always use the sub to play my iPhone as I fee it has the best sound, and surprisingly the sun audio sounds way better than the base radio imo,

Okay, I will give the USB a test with my ipod tonight but sadly it doesn't work with my android phone :(.

Quick questions:
1. what is sun audio?
2. Have you tried the bluetooth yet? Does the sound quality / volume hold equal to using direct USB or do you lose volume?

It could be a typo, but it was in your first response "surprisingly the sun audio sounds way better than the base radio imo". I guessed the first "sub" was meant to be "USB" but I didn't know if "sun" was something else, .

Thanks!

Thanks for the update.

Specifically I am not worried too much about the sound quality (that has a lot of factors), but how was the volume compared to USB / radio? Aka assuming your phone volume was turned up, did click 20 on your radio sound the same as click 20 while on bluetooth?
