Having the flippin battery in the flippin trunk saves flippin weight on the front end. The flippin battery will also last longer in the flippin trunk due to the fact it won't get cooked under the flippin hood.
And some extra weight over the flippin rear wheels never hurts.

Better weight split and saves space under hood. It's a great idea that higher cars have been employing for years.

Rant over.
The same person that thought weight distribution would be a good thing and that the owner of the car would be smart enough to use the positive post under the hood................owners manual WHO THOUGHT OF THAT!

Battery in the trunk is a great idea! How many performance cars have you owned?? As many have already mentioned, look for the simple solution first before freaking out. Hell, the battery in my 03 Viper was in a panel in front of the driver's side rear wheel.......

I guess even geniuses need to learn about the cars they bought.
Two things.

What you dont see in the pic is that another car is in front of mine, so I couldn't move my other car up there in order to connect to the ones in the front, because for some reason it wont hold on the steep hillm

The other thing is, in my history and as many people have told me before, if you have a dead battery you always get a jump from battery to battery. Thats why you see it from one battery directly to the other battery and not to a different post.

But, on a serious note though after getting it going again, I noticeda few issues. Of course I have to recalibrate the windows which was a given, but after letting it idle for a good 15 mins and taking it for a spin, my throttle respone has gone to hell. Not sure if thats a byproduct of what happened or what. When I go to rev match when downshifting, I have to hold the peddle longer than usual. When going from a stop to a go, I have to do the same thing as the response isnt like it was before.

Normal? Or nah?

So the low resistance of the main power cable running from battery to remote terminal affects jump-start ability...how, exactly?

Also, if the only reason to jump a car is because it has a dead battery, then you'd always need a battery-to-battery connection and there would be no need for the remote terminal, per your reasoning.

You do what works for you and ill do what works for me. Like I said, even if I wanted to jump it from the front I couldn't have. I got it started and really thats the only thing that I care about.

well, since you couldn't jump it from the front if you wanted to, it was a good thing that the battery was in the trunk, wasn't it?
