I've run dozens of brands of oil filters in dozens of cars over the last 40 years of wrenching, and have never had an oil filter come loose........weep at the seal one or two times maybe, but come loose, no....
Don't understand how this would happen if the filter is torqued done correctly on install.

I've never had an oil filter come loose on this car or my other car. I've used AC Delco, Fram (one time only), Purolator and I think K&N as well. Just make sure you put it on tight by hand (DO NOT use a filter wrench to put it back on!) and clean where the filter o-ring will be seated. Wiling to bet it's from the o-ring deforming not creating a proper seal.
