IMO, at 650 meth is not really needed, but if you got a good deal on one, hell man, go for it, it wont hurt.

Good luck with your install and keep in mind another limitation you will run into is the automatic transmission, some one will correct me if I'm wrong but I believe I remember seeing it was around 650 rwhp

Thats up for debate, but yah, 650rwhp is about where a stock 6l80 needs some love, but I know 2 now making 1000+rwhp for a long time with no issues. It really comes down to keeping the fluid cool and tuning spot on.

I pulled my 6L80 out and put it in storage for now. I run a 6L90,and I have a second 6L90 as a back up.Hopefully I'll be fine for a while.

Kevin told me that an aluminum radiator would do my trans some good just like adding on a b&m supercooler not sure I remember the brand. He said it ran about $550 which is worth saving a trans for. I will probably keep my power below 650 while I get my tuning dialed in completely

Do you have any track times or any advice you would have done different on stall or gearing.

Even a built 6l80 isnt going to be as strong as a 90 or 4l80

If you are planning on doing E85 and turning the boost up at any time in the future, skip the ID1000's and go straight to the 1300's. It's a bit more now, but cheaper than buying a second set of injectors later.

The last time I checked, a low mileage 6L90 is between $1200-1800.
So far,no regrets on the setup & combo.Still on the stock rotating assembly,so boost level is not crazy. I might have too much gear in the diff,if so, I have a spare ZL1 diff with the 3.23's that will fix that. Haven't had a chance to test it at the track with the new combo.Should be rear soon though. The local track just opened last week.Still doing some fine tuning.
