Curious as to what made you change your mind on driving it in the winter:
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...092#post677092

Also how many more days do you expect to ride a motorcycle assuming you found one and put it on the road today?

And there are only 8 characters in an ontario plate which costs $235.00

I think since your dealer promised you late september/early october (from another one of your posts) maybe you should stick it out a little longer. You won't be disappointed with the car but you might regret cancelling.

Ken

The longer you have to wait, the more money you will have to use as a down payment.

I look at it this way....if you have been anxiously awaiting the return of the Camaro since, when? 2003 or 4?...another few weeks or months isn't going to matter once the car does get there. Be patient.

Sound like you shoulda got on the ball back in October/November of last year like the rest of us. You would have been one of the first to have a Camaro on here.

Sucks ! Sorry to hear but do what makes you happy.

I got my car 2 months later than my quoted wait. It sucked and was very unpleasant waiting... butttt The car itself is definately well worth the wait and I was glad I waited.

Originally I cancelled my order after about 3.5 months and no word on delivery.. That lasted about 2 days before the stress and regret set in and I took my order back. Everything kinda came together quickly after that.

Only issues I've got is with my GFX and engine cover not being here yet. I've had the car for a month and put almost 2,000 km on it. Other than that.... Insurance was insane even with 30% discount. And my IPOD doesn't work with the car.

Car really hauls though ! And I absolutely love it. Gets insane attention all the time... Crazy how many people stare, follow, come up n talk to me, check out the car, all the compliments... Still complete rock star status still in October.. Kinda crazy :P (A bit annoying sometimes)

My favorite car on the road though for sure... Theres no other car out there I admire more than my own, and that's a great feeling. I am sure there are more expensive or faster cars out there but.... I don't care for them. I've got my favorite ride on the planet in my garage !!

I was pretty annoyed to hear about the Z28 though.. Picked up the top model Camaro for that extra ounce of pride in knowing I got the best of the best of em.... And they go and get workin on a better one !

Honestly though, I don't need more power and I wouldn't be able to stomach waiting another year or two or three for a z28. I would end up cracking and buying a truck instead.

It's sad to see you go, especially for the reasons posted. In short, I can't imagine operating under the impression that your dealer knew when the car would arrive and having to wait even longer for no car to arrive. Hopefully, you get to drive a Z28 later that makes you happy.

In the meantime, I hope you find a way to stay warm on that motorcycle because it's going to be a lot colder without AC on a 2-wheeler in the snow.

I was in a similar boat as the OP. Ordered at about the same time and it came in September. For me, it was worth the wait as I also plan to drive it through the slush, snow and road salt that the GTA offers. I think with some good winter tires, it should be ok to drive provided I am light on the throttle. However, driving a rear wheel drive sports car in the winter is not optimal.

For me, before I spend this much money on a car, I want to see it in person so ordering it early back in November was not an option. In Toronto, it was practically impossible to get a test drive once it was out. Only through this site did I hear about the test drives available at the shopping centres.

I think what is frustrating is when you scan through this forum, view when others have ordered it and see that they get their car prior to you even if they ordered it well after you.

What was also frustrating is reading about how certain areas of North America have many of these cars sitting on the lots and around here, up until this month there was next to nothing.

To the OP, your 90 days are up so if you still want a Camaro, you could shop around the GTA. There are many Camaros out there on the lots if you just take the time to do some research (Cyber Gray, Black, Orange and Blue for sure). And you will get a better deal too buying it off the lot.

Best wishes and good luck.

Well the dealership e-mailed me and said the car is ready to go. After taking a sigh of unsteady relief I e-mailed him back and said I would take delivery of it soon next week. I'm excited but it is anti-climactic at this point. I will try out the 60 day trial promotion they have on the car and see if I fall in love with the car all over again. I most likely will, according to you guys and I think I probably will. I just got so discouraged. Thanks to those who encouraged me to stick it out. Your support was what I needed.

Sorry about my mistake for typing in Z24 instead of a Z28. My bad!

I believe I typed my plate in wrong also. My hands were literally shaking in disappointment....uhhh would you believe that guys? ^_^

Anyway, I guess I'll see you on the roads!

You are going to love driving this car. No doubt about it. The V6 sounds great. And when you discover all the little toys that come with the car, you will be amazed.

Enjoy the drive!!!
