I think that's the cool part about 1LEs. A track car supposed be bare bone just like the Z28. Want all the luxury could go with the 2SS.

Haven't looked since.

2015 1LE runs around 46K. 2016 1LE is going to be bumping against 50k.
A basic 2017 1LE will be 44.5k ($37,900 + 6500 for the 1LE package), so long as you stay away from the frills. I don't see this as a particularly bad deal at all, it puts it right in the territory of a nicely decked out Mustang GT PP (with, IMO, far more capability), and well under any of the GT350 options out there.

GM is only going to have possible customer conflicts when it comes to the ZL1, given that it's in C7 pricing territory. I'm not sure the intended audience of either car is as different as one might think

Sounds like reading threads on 6g that chevy should have option code PSR

Poser 1LE rpo code. They want the look, with the navigation, stereo, leather seats with fans to cool their butts, sunroof, etc.

That 17 is coming with boat load of stuff for 6500, that is why I ordered mine with NPP because if I bought aftermarket exhaust it would be about a grand. I got the recaros cause I knew and also believe that the recaros sit lower then the stock seats, plus even the dealer I ordered from didn't know you could get them in a SS.

Also I bet the 17 recaros has the cooling fans and heater in them. Because my 1ss doesn't have heated seats, but the recaros have a pigtail to know where underneath.

MRC would of been nice, but so be it.

I guess I expected it to perform much better than our G5's, and track data may show that it does. I guess I just do not see these numbers adding up to the ass woppin I thought it was going to be.
According to an interview Al did when they announced the 17 1LE, the 6th gen 1LE is supposed to be 2+ seconds faster on a 2 minute track compared to the 5th gen 1LE. It will easily compete with the bare bones 350.

Do you not understand that the 2017 1LE is only available in a 1SS? The base price for a 1SS is around 37-38k. Add 6500 1LE option and you're in the mid to lower 40's out the door. The 1SS 5th gen had less standard features than the 6th gen will have. The 6th gen 2SS has so much useless crap. Who needs dual climate control in a small coupe? Or the ability to change the light color scheme? Plus you're getting MRC and Recaro's STANDARD in the 1LE now, which is the smartest thing GM did IMO. Why have a track car with seats that aren't designed for the track. I'll wait to drive a new 1LE myself to see if it worth the extra coin. But I love my 5th gen. So I don't plan on selling it.

When you actually consider the amount of performance you're getting and that the platform is more expensive all together it's not really a bad deal at all. Of course you can add a bunch of options but the 1LE is meant for the track. The 5th gen chassis is old and heavy. I love my 5th gen but a lot of development went into the 6th gen, which in turn means more expensive. More gadgets inside mean more money as well. That's why I think they are only offering the 1LE is 1SS form.

Albeit, the 17' will be a 1ss at best, the new bells and whistles are an obvious upgrade in tech from the G5. And I get all of that for around the same exact price that I paid for a car 2 model years older? Not all that bad to those of us who bout a well optioned 2SS G5 1LE

Yes the 16'vette is a 55k base price, but it is the bottom of the list vette, no tech, no upgrades.
I was able to get a brand new '16 C7 Z51 1LT at $52K + tax (MSRP is $61395) from a volume dealer. Full aero kit, Z06 coolers/grill, much wider track wheels, GM's own T1 racing suspension, and this is the result:

Nice! But a 17 1LE will be around $10k/20% less. I'll take and personally prefer the total package and looks of the 1LE. Just my opinion, no hard feelings.

Of course, no hard feelings. I still believe my 1LE with the Z/28 aero was the manliest car I've ever owned; it looks stunning.

That said, even though it's now less than it's ever been, there's still a significant gap in performance when it comes to comparing a Corvette against a Camaro. C7 Z51 1LT is 3350 lbs.

Yup. My 1LE is a 1SS and has only the RS package and the rear vision package. It stickered nearly $40k.

$44.5k for a similarly optioned 2017 isn't a bad deal IMO.
