2017 1LE pricing thread for people with G5 1LE and no 6g membership

I titled it this way so mods would not move it to 6G and most of us can't post because we don't see the need for a 6g membership. Since a lot of the conversations involve comparing the G5 1LE.

I think $6500 over a regular SS is great deal since MRC, 6 piston brakes, and the recaro's would of done $6500 alone. To get the ESD, 2 piece rotors, and all the other bells whistles. Plus if you have a supplier discount its going to be even better.

But performance data in the real world and not pro magazine drivers. The performance is going to similar to the 5th gen 1LE. Plus me personally being 6'-6" and mostly leg, my 5th Gen 1LE is roomie

Back to the new 1LE it is a good deal, I think ours was the best bargain and it is a seconded place. If I didn't have employee discount $44k plus tax would be a tough pill, and the price point puts in more competition instead of just mustang. That is BMW M2 territory and really low mileage C6 Z06, and New 2015 Z28 with $20k discounts.

Really looking forward to the motortrend GT350 vs 1LE,

If the 1LE beats the GT350 and the ZL1 beats the GT350R, who is the competition for the Z28 are they going GTR and Viper Hunting.

Problem is that the price is creeping solidly into Corvette territory..
One of the biggest plusses (is that even a word?) about the Gen5 was its pricing.
You could get a V8 Camaro for under 40k whereas the Dodge and the Ford, as soon as you added a V8 you were solidly over 50k. That was the deal maker for me when I got my 2010.
If you can pick up a Vette for another 10k... You're probably going to do it. I really believe the Gen6 is pricing itself out of the market and so far the sales numbers support that.

???? I can price out a 2017 Mustang GT on Ford's website right now that starts at $33K. And a 2016 Challenger R/T starts out at $31K. Where do you get $50K from?

  • G2s: Rock throwing is like like a tramp stamp; although problematic, it's a sign of good things to come.

Not really, My '15 1LE was 46k on the sticker, and I rolled out at 42 and change.

Albeit, the 17' will be a 1ss at best, the new bells and whistles are an obvious upgrade in tech from the G5. And I get all of that for around the same exact price that I paid for a car 2 model years older? Not all that bad to those of us who bout a well optioned 2SS G5 1LE

Yes the 16'vette is a 55k base price, but it is the bottom of the list vette, no tech, no upgrades.

I have to say I am a bit confused. O - 60 is only .1 seconds faster in a G6 1LE. Skid pad numbers are .01 less and breaking is 6 feet longer for 60 - 0 mph for the G6 version. I guess I expected it to perform much better than our G5's, and track data may show that it does. I guess I just do not see these numbers adding up to the ass woppin I thought it was going to be.

It would be nice if the MRC was an Option and not standard

My 15 1 LE stickered out at $48 & change, had the 1LE option been $6500 that would have put the msrp around $51k. I did buy it with the 20% plus $3200 in GM card earnings that brought my net cost down to $35k. I would be curious what a gen 6 1LE with the same options as mine would cost now, I just don't think it would be as good of a deal with out some serious discounts.

They don't offer 1LE with 2SS package, RS isn't an option. And 2SS+RS is a 5k option for us already. So really can't compare same options as yours. Also don't know if sunroof is an option for them neither.

I guess GM made the 17 1LE bare bones to keep the price more in line with the Gen 5. It's just like the grocery store the oj used to come in the 1/2 gallon container now it's 59 oz but the same price. Remove content but keep the price, most people never figure it out.

In 2011, when I picked up my 2010, I could not put a V8 into a mustang or Challenger without the sticker heading towards 50k.
Haven't looked since.

2015 1LE runs around 46K. 2016 1LE is going to be bumping against 50k.

You mean 2017. Anyway it's not bumping 50K. It's a 6500 option on a 1ss only. The only thing you can add is PDR and nav if memory serves.
