torque management is like ABS, Traction control, and most other programs/functions to me. if it means the car is trying to control itself, i dont want it. when i want to "lose control", i dont want the car trying to gain it back.

There is also a type that sends 100% power to both wheels but allows the outside wheel in a turn to freewheel faster than the driveshaft requires. I've always thought it's a good idea but just recently read about it on a truck forum. You're probably getting it whether you want it or not, and unlike ABS/traction control/stability control, you probably won't be able to disable it with a button.

seriously tho, id love to hear the name of this rear. most all rears except for ones with lockers or the spider gears welded allow the outside wheel to spin faster than the inside one, part of how the differential works.

Nope, most allow the inside wheel to spin slower...which is why you can spin one tire while the other one sits still.

peg legged, that's funny

Read up on differentials. Open diff spins one wheel...Posi-traction is open during cornering, locks during hard acceleration... Locker is as implied, both wheels turn same speed, even while cornering, like in a better 4WD vehicle.

I think the V6 might be peg legged because the G8 V6 does not have a locking diff available but it is standard on the V8. I the think if there are 2 V6's, the non DI will not have it but the 300hp DI will. Just my opinion because I want to base it mostly off of the G8.

I really hope both wheels are spinning.... I'll be rather sad if they don't.

Folks, I wasn't comparing inside wheel speed to outside wheel speed. I was talking about each wheel's speed compared to the driveshaft (as I stated in my first post in this thread). It doesn't really matter, I'm not picky about my diff, I just want some sort of limited slip diff in my Camaro.
