Did you ever figure out what the issue was? I am now having a similar issue and can't figure it out

I would send him a PM in case he doesn't check this thread since it is fairly old. He is pretty active on the forum so he will likely answer you when he sees this.

It ended up being a Bad BCU (or BCM). After the replacement... and 600 bucks parts and labor later, no issue. No issue since.

from rock-it-man in 2013.

Looked in my Hayes repair manual and it looks like all the rear lights are going into the bcm and then there are fuses that go into the bcm. each of the fuses going into the bcm are labeled bcm 2-5 and are fuses f6, f15, f16, and f29.

Keep in mind I have 0 exp working on electrical items in a car so just thought I would throw out what I tried to look up and understand.

Thanks for the update. I have a maintenance check in 2 weeks. I will bring to their attention then. I will post solution to my issue as well.
