Sorry it took me a while to respond. I know i sent a few messages to members to comment on this thread to give me some advice. So here is the update. I cancelled my order for the stall converter. Chris at circle d agreed and was very helpful as well. I think the problem which i think we can all agree on is TRACTION. i need some better tires and more seat time. i got me some mickey thompson tires on the way. I know eventually will need a stall but i need to work on my 60ft. Thanks guys for taking time to respond. I will keep yall updated and let you know how i do at the track. This forum has been very informative, thanks to yall.

Yeah I'd get the car on an MT or a Hoosier, log your best runs, and figure out what size converter to get.

If those are Hoosier slicks, they will work good. I ran a 17" set for my best passes. Very forgiving.

I think we were running them between 18 and 22 psi.

If you log, and hook, you'll really know what your shift points are now.

Ok fellas, went to the track this past weekend. These are the time slips. I went 1.7s on my 60ft on all my runs which was a first for me. Definitely could tell the difference in my 60ft. Now comes this. On all my burnouts, i only had my right wheel spinning, while the left stayed wet from the wetbox. So i was pretty much launching off one wheel. I do have a line lock which was working but still the left tire would not burnout. One the last run, i did have to litoff because it started to get squirmy on the top end, and I was real hesitant with the skinnys. It was my first time driving with them. So what do yall guys think?

You need the JRE posi mod done or a true trac to cure the 1 wheel turning issue, I would go for the true trac to gain some strength, afterwards you can use a converter in the 3000 to 3400 range to drop your 60's and e.t. now that you have the slicks, you could always spend more money and do a ZL1 rear or 9" conversion.

Yeah I think TrueTrac is strategic, that's what I put in when I broke my diff.
