Water is a better coolant than antifreeze. In hot climates I run straight distilled water with two bottles of water wetter for corrosion protection and pump lubrication.

I was actually told this by a buddy of mine. I just wanted to see if anyone would bring it up.

Ive heard it for years, but all you need is one really cold night and very bad things happen. I cracked a block on my first car in early spring that way and learned my lesson. But that also led me to learn how to tear down an engine as a teenager so its all good.

Coolant

Evans waterless coolant. Not cheap but it works.

I bought one bottle of redline water wetter. After some research on other forums some people experience foam when using the water wetter. Is that normal? Also how can I make sure that I don't get any air bubbles when I fill it up?

I did a mix of 80/20 distilled water/dexcool concentrate and water wetter in my intercooler system with 2 varimax pumps.. helps a bunch... I don't go crazy with water wetter, I use 4 cap fulls per gallon...

Here my distilled/dexcool mixing chart:

No, I've not needed that much. You can experiment with it, but I noticed it foamed when I used a half bottle. I drained, flushed, and used less. 4 cap fulls have worked for me.

Remember, I have dual varimax pumps, so the flow is greater...

Is the foam a bad thing? If you don't mind me asking what do your IAT's look like

18 to 22* over ambient. You really don't want foaming since it can reduce the coolants effectiveness.

When we tested it, didn't go over 125* on a long pull. With the dual varimax in series and 3 heat exchangers in parallell, cools very well. I do have a coolant temp sensor that I can track the intercooler coolant temps...

That's not bad at all. I really don't want to spend much on this since I want TT's and if I mess with this some more it'll be useless with the turbo's. I'm going to swap the coolant out with water on the sc and add a little bit of water wetter and see if that helps. Do I just leave the cap off to let it burp?

Well, I run the pump(s) and milk the hoses to help get out the air. Recently, I started cheating and use a tool to pull a vacuum on the system and fill it up with no air!

I'm finally out of working 7 12's so I wanted to change out the coolant from the supercharger to distilled water and water wetter. Probably a dumb question but where would I drain it from. I have the slptvs2300 with the reservoir that the kit comes with. I didn't install it so it's all new to me
